At the beginning of this Rotary year, a survey was conducted with the members to identify the types of service projects they would like to see more of. Projects involving the care and education of children surfaced as a priority.
This is the first year the club has participated with the Henry County School District to read to children at school during the annual Read Across Henry day.
Member Darius Pattillo found members of his office were interested in participating. He shared that as District Attorney of Henry County he has learned that literacy is one of the most important deterrents to crime. He and his office team are passionate about participating at every opportunity to instill a life long love of reading and learning.
